Kevin demands custody hearing - People
Kevin Federline has called for an emergency court hearing to discuss his child custody dispute with Britney Spears today (22.02.07).The 28-year-old and his lawyer are scheduled to appear at a Los Angeles courthouse for an emergency hearing regarding custody of five-month-old Jayden James and 17-month-old Sean Preston.Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini said: "Our best information is he will be here, she won't. But anything is possible."
I can't stand to watch this whole drama, but it's like an accident in progress - you know it's going to be messy, but you just can't help but watch it happen.
IOL: Sleepy Britney leaves New Year's Eve party
Britney Spears finally appears to be acting like a new mother – by falling asleep on a New Year’s Eve night out.
It seems pretty lame on the face of it, but think about it - she's finally getting worn out with all the panty-less partying, and apparently the strain of raising her two children without their father is taking it's toll. I have to wonder, however, just how much help K-Fed was when they were still together. But that's just me ;)
Two out of four kids have ear infections. Nice.
Lamont lost to Lieberman - I'm sorry, but I'm not surprised. I really don't want to get into the debate about all this crap, but I agree that Lamont lost because he made the election about Lieberman, not the issues. Either way, we're not going to leave Iraq anytime soon, and I honestly don't know what the heck Lieberman has to do with that - HE isn't the one who got us into this quagmire, Bush is. Let's focus on getting him out of the Oval office, then we can address Joe's problems.
Britney Spears: yes, she's getting a divorce. Yeah. I think I already addressed this. The reason I mention it: she drives a lot of traffic to my site. Not her personally, of course..... People looking for photos of her. I'll save you the trouble: look here - they're all in one place. I might add some to the page. Why?
I used to include the posts about Britney in the "Posts" category. Now that page is about 2mb in size. When the search engines spider the site, they put that page in their index under Britney Spears, even though it's not really appropriate. I've taken the liberty of removing those posts from the page, but also of using a robots.txt file to block spider access to that page. Since doing that, traffic to that page - and my monthly bandwidth usage - have shot way down. Coincidence? I think not.
I've noticed that the Britney page is making it's way up the "popular pages" list, but not quite as quick as I expected. I wonder how long it will take for the photos page to make the list? Let's find out.
So, it seems that Britney has come to her senses and decided to get rid of Kevin:
Britney Spears told husband of two years Kevin Federline that she was divorcing him via a text message while he was recording a TV interview. This Is London
I like the deviousness of sending a him the notice via text message, but I tend to think that having a process server do it in front of his friends while he's out clubbing might have been a better idea. That's just me though.
Shockingly, he's getting money from her: She has to pay Federline $30,000 (£15,700) a month for a year - half the time they were wed. This means that he will receive about £180,000. That's right, she's giving the half-wit wanna-be rapper $360,000 over the next year.
Where do I sign up to marry her so I can get a divorce settlement like that? I must admit that my interest in Britney waned for a while - mostly while she was seen in public with Kevin and having his kids, but she's looking quite nice again after the second baby, so maybe I should give her another chance ;).
As you probably know by now, I have, in the past, been a big fan of Britney Spears. That's changed a bit with her marraige to "K-Fed", and the birth of their son Sean. But the underlying feelings are there - they're just covered up with varying layers of disgust and disbelief.
Regardless, I bring you the following tidbit:
BrooklynPapers.com: OH MAMA! Nude Britney sculpture in Billyburg
Someone made an interesting statue of Britney "giving birth" to her son. It's interesting, but I wonder how she feels about it.
In Britney related news, I've noticed quite a bit of traffic to this site, and more specifically to my "posts" category. Why? We'll, it seems that many people are searching for Britney, and they're using various image search engines. Aside from all the porn stars named Britney, there are various images on my site that have her name in the title, so they come up. It's also a context thing - in amongst my posts on the topic, I've posted some photos of the lass. They are picked up by the search engines, and.... well, I'm sure you can figure it out.
The problem is that the link they travel to most - the "posts" category archive - is also 1.6 mb in size as I write this. That's 1.6 mb of just text - that doesn't include any of the photos that also come from my server, or images that go elsewhere. Now, I'm not complaining about the amount of the download as it relates to my bandwidth allocation - it's more of a concern for the end user that they're wasting their time.
If they're looking for a photo of Britney, they shouldn't have to read through all my posts to get to them. They probably don't care, and honestly, they probably don't even read them - they just scroll until they find the image. Some of them then link to it from their own website, which naturally brings about another set of isssues, but I've got plans in place to deal with that. But what do I do to get them to the photos they want and on their way quickly? And without taking a bandwidth hit?
Suggests are appreciated - I'm thinking maybe something that looks at each page that's loaded (maybe just the category pages) to see if it's a referal from a search engine, then it looks to see what the search terms are. Depending on that, it will then do something else - maybe take them to the Britney page instead?
In the meantime, I've just added "posts" to the robots.txt file, so it should stop getting indexed soon - and I'm hoping that by making this the first post on that page (at least for a day or two) that it will help alleviate some of the load.

Eric R. Danton | Sound Check: Suggestions for Britney Spears
Also.... Spears in Diaper Drama: Britney changed her sons diaper in the middle of a Victoria's Secret. Literally in the middle - like right by the cash register.
Eric has a point - if she doesn't want the drama, then she needs to get out of Dodge. And losing the dirtbag (aka her so called husband) wouldn't hurt either. I can't open my wifes "People" or "US" without reading about how they're in therapy/getting divorced/converting to Scientology. Honestly, it's getting a little old now..... Broom him or shape him up, ok?
It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who thinks that Britney made a mistake. Huge. COLOSSAL.
Anyway, maybe she'll stumble across the website and come to her senses.

It's official: Britney Spears has a baby on board. This is indeed a disturbing universe.
Em's Bully Beat Down by Court - Apr 15, 2005 - E! Online News
It seems that Eminem's old school hood nemesis didn't like the way he was rapped about in one of Em's songs - so he did what any bully would, and sued. I like the part where the judge goes freestyle in her decision and kicks it a bit.
Word.
TV Squad: The Mr. and Mrs. Britney Spears Show
Former pop-virgin Britney Spears and her skeezy trophy groom Kevin Federline have signed on to star in a six-episode "reality" show for UPN. The as-yet-untitled program will document the couple's "courtship, engagement and wedding" and will largely consist of footage shot by the gruesome twosome themselves on home video. UPN is hiring an outside producer to rush the project into post, and is hoping to premiere by the end of this season. The whole business is apparently - and this is a quote from Miss Toxic herself - an attempt by Mrs. Federline to turn over a new leaf: "I am now going to be expressing my personal life through art."
Wow. Britney on my tv, for six whole weeks. It's too bad that she went ahead and married that.... thing. The worst part, of course, are the persistent rumors that she's in a family way - thus ruining any hope I had that she was only married to him for the sake of the tabloids.
Why, Britney, have you forsaken me?
