Legendary actor Paul Newman dies at age 83.
Wow. I didn't know the man personally, but growing up in Westport - his home for many years - he was certainly well known around the town. And he and his wife, Joanne Woodward, would pop into various establishments around town, so I did get to see him. He seemed like a nice enough guy, especially with regards to the whole "Hole in the Wall Gang" charities.
it's hard not to admire Paul Newman for putting his money to work in such productive ways, such as his Newman's Own line--high quality stuff and the proceeds go to good causes... very smart.
