I'm not as blog as you think I am
So, I'm watching an older episode of CSI: Miami thanks to the amazing powers of the internet, and it started to do a bit of shark jumping: behold, the blogging plot twist.
What's irritating to me, as a blogger, is how they take things that are just plain silly and then try to pass them off as fact. It's one thing for the characters, who clearly know what they're talking about, to have their dialog include the usual explanation of why they're doing something ("We need to get this sample to trace so we can figure out where the killer was sitting while he waited" or whatever), but another when they start making statements about things that are just plain weird.
In this example, a character says that bloggers always put extra stuff in their pages that are like easter eggs. Guess what? I don't. I don't know very many people who do - but now it's out there, circulating. No, it doesn't affect me, but it does irritate me. Ugh.
