As I said in a comment on the first link.... I don't have a problem with it, as long as the endorsement is on the record (aka on their about page or something there's a note saying that XYZ Corp is giving me bling/ducats/schwag for shamelessly plugging their product) and as long as the blogger is shilling stuff that they actually use and recommend. Of course, I guess that's how epinions got started.....
I mention brands and whatnot here all the time - the stuff I hate and the stuff I can't live without. I don't see the harm in getting a little bit of money - or, preferably, some free product - for doing that.
