And the inbox just fills back up

So, I now have 601 messages in my inbox. I think about 15% of them are messages from myself (at work) to myself (at home) with URL's/tidbits/notes/reminders/whatnot. The rest? Well, I'm sure there's some spam that I didn't catch. So figure about 500 or so messages to process. That means an awful lot of PR pieces that didn't get filtered. Messages from friends/family/whoever that I haven't processed. And it just keeps getting worse. I think I need a vacation from my email.....

Yeah, right. I'm about as addicted to email as you can get. Here I am, 1:30 in the morning, blogging and processing emails. I got home from work about an hour ago (0:30) and spent that time reading thru the email I got since I left for work at 15:00. God that's a lot of email.

Of course, if I'd just cut to the chase and un-sub from the 2 high volume mailing lists I'm on, I'd probably be much better off. Thank god for filters.
