Roughnecks ride again

So, I was browsing Amazon.com today before ordering a potty training book (joy!) and a Dragon Tales soundtrack (more details on that later... :) ) when I decided to look around.

You know how when you go to a store you don't always go to - say, your local club-warehouse thing - you always walk down every aisle, making sure that theres nothing else you need? 'Cause you know it's gonna be a while before you're back. And checking out usually takes a while, 'cause of all the other folks buying stuff and making the lines long?

I do this same thing. Only I also do it when I'm shopping online. I'll look around and see if there's any specials, or discounts, or discontinued things, just begging me to buy them. The sad part? I usually end up adding something else to the shopping basket...

So, while I was on my expedition through Amazon, I decided to do something I try to do whenever I'm there: see if the last 2 Starship Trooper: Roughneck Chronicles DVD's are available for pre-order. If they are, I usually either add them to my shopping cart and buy them right then and there, or put them in there and buy them about a week later - I have some impulse control issues, I know.

Anyway, so there they were - the final 2 DVD's. The Klendathu Campaign and The Homefront Campaign. Just waiting for me to order them. Sure, they won't be available until May 28th, but that's not a big deal - I had to wait over 2 months for Hydora and Tophet.

If you haven't seen this great series, I highly recommend you check it out. It's based on the Robert A. Heinlein book of the same name. And it has tons more redeeming qualities than the movie of the same name (not that the movie was bad, but....). Anyway, since it's all CGI (computer generated imaging) they're able to be more true to the book. Which is good. Very good. 'Cause the movie, well.... No, I'm gonna save that for some other time.

Check out roughneckchronicles for some interesting behind the scenes stuff. There's more sites out there, but this is the only one I can think of right now.
